Rx EDGE was present once again at this year’s NACDS Total Store Expo. As veteran attendees, we were sure that we knew what to expect and were prepared for a busy few days. “Busy” was an understatement! We experienced our most productive show to date. We walked away with a record number of meetings that led us to new ideas for our business moving forward.
The event itself might not last very long, but the impact is long-lasting. NACDS Total Store Expo promotes innovation and creates exposure for brands and companies across the total store environment. It is a great setting to reach all types of decision makers who are in the pharma industry and beyond, and to learn about the most important issues and trends. For us, it is a great opportunity to meet with our clients as well as talk with our network of retailers in a unified setting.
During NACDS, we were driving the conversation about the importance of retail pharmacy as a media channel, particularly through our “Pharmacy Fan” interactive quiz. These discussions sparked a lot of interest, which naturally encouraged a number of questions. Once we returned from the show, we wanted to reinforce the key topics that were discussed in a quick summary. The result is a new infographic, “What You Should Know About the Pharmacy as a Media Channel”, which is designed to help educate people about the value of the pharmacy and demonstrate its usage as a communication vehicle. The infographic delivers data ranging from the huge audience of potential patients in the pharmacy, to its function as a convenient resource for health products and services. We suggest taking a look and who knows… you might learn something new!
The pharmacy eclipses traditional channels like television and print in many ways, such as the ability to efficiently reach a health-minded audience. Pharma can effectively utilize this media channel to reach their target audience. Our programs help marketers address goals related to brand awareness, patient acquisition, and disease state education.
The NACDS Total Store Expo is a great platform for constructive dialogue with potential clients, as well as our current clients and retailers. We look forward to following up on all that was discussed during the expo and continuing our efforts to promote the many benefits of pharmacy. Our calendars are marked for next year! Rx EDGE will definitely be in attendance for NACDS Total Store Expo August 6-9, 2016 in Boston. We will not only be there, but we look forward to continuing to spread the word and generate interest around the retail pharmacy as a powerful media channel.
