What do you get when you bring together a pharmacist and pharmacy expert? You get an exceptional \u201cmeeting of the minds\u201d to deliver a presentation on understanding the pharmacy\u2019s role in promoting patient engagement and education for medication adherence.<\/p>\n

I am very pleased to announce that Diana Blazek, RPh<\/strong>, <\/strong>and I will be speaking at the 5th Annual Patient Adherence and Engagement Summit,<\/a> taking place on March 21-22, 2017<\/strong> at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel<\/strong> in Philadelphia, PA.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to think of us as the \u201cdynamic duo\u201d. As a pharmacist, Diana brings a unique perspective based on her experience in corporate healthcare as well as a long career as a community pharmacist. Combined with my experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as retailers, we bring our collective expertise to the patient adherence and engagement conversation.<\/p>\n

At the summit, we will discuss ways to support patient communication in the pharmacy. The talk will also showcase some of the newest offerings that are driving value-added healthcare efforts and accelerating pharmacy\u2019s role in patient care such as advancements in screening for acute and chronic conditions, immunizations, medication synchronization programs, and new patient engagement tools.<\/p>\n
